Scooby Doo

Mystery Inc never really stopped! There have been Scooby Doo reboots every few years it seems. There's the 2002 Tom Gunn movie, the 1980s and 90s animated movies, the origin reboots of the 2010s and more! We all grew up loving Scooby Doo and all had a favourite character! Whether it was the stylish Daphne, the slacker Shaggy or the smart Velma, there was someone for everyone to love! Scooby and the gang solved mysteries and also somehow solved the mystery of how to stay relevant for over 50 years! The most recent revamp of the concept is Scoob!, a 2020 3D animated movie looking at some creepy ghosts and always bringing the laughs to the table. At Swag Boxers, we know letting go of those fond memories isn't the way to go, so embrace that nostalgia with some Mystery Inc themed boxers!
Spongebob

“Aye Aye Captain!” These were the words we raced home to hear after school every day, tuning into Nickelodeon to catch back-to-back episodes of the arguably best cartoon on TV: SpongeBob SquarePants. Back when the animated TV series premiered in 1999, every day was The Best Day Ever when we could spend it singing the Campfire Song Song in Bikini Bottom. But aside from it’s old-school SpongeGar days, SpongeBob SquarePants has been rebooted more times than Squidward is annoyed by his Pineapple-dwelling neighbour (read: A LOT). The first feature film was released in 2004, followed by two more movies in 2015 and 2020, proof that the show’s cultural cache keeps on growing 20 years down the underwater track. Some of the revamps include video games, a recent 2021 spinoff called ‘Kamp Koral’ and even a 2017 Broadway musical based on the 13-season strong series. And yet even with all these versions, we STILL haven't uncovered the hidden ingredients in the Krabby Patty Secret Formula. At Swag Boxers, we know SpongeBob’s iconic laugh and “I’m Ready!” catchphrase will forever be stuck in your heads, so you might as well get stuck into some SpongeBob SquarePants themed boxers, too!
TMNT

Turtle Power! As a kid, nothing was as mesmerising as going from watching those heroes in a halfshell on Saturday mornings to seeing them brought to life on the big screen in the live action 1990 movie. Dark, brooding, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; a gritty origin story before gritty origin stories were done. We loved the sequel, The Secret Of The Ooze, almost as much! Though the sequel definitely did not age well, the original movie still holds it’s own against anything produced since. Such as the Michael Bay remake of 2014, with digitally animated Turtles that were a cheap trick and Megan Fox, who just didn’t hold her own as April O’Neill.
Now there is the 2018 series: Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael are back in 2D animation and have brought back the tradition of fighting a new monster on a weekly basis. Our boxers use the original turtles in several different prints, making sure that no matter who your favourite turtle is, whether it's Leo, Donnie, Raph or Mikey, you can have your turtle covered in your favourite halfshell!
It seems 90s nostalgia and reboots are still on the rise and we can expect more reboots of beloved childhood classics in the months and years to come!
Don't forget to explore the rich history of boxers alongside these nostalgic themes.
